• During 25 years of teaching at the primary / elementary level, I taught over 1,000 students. Of them, I was able to identify more than 60 TRUE gifted students. I have spent more than 1,000 hours supporting and advising parents of gifted children.
• I am the mother of two gifted daughters and have travelled the ‘parental journey’ that you are on. I have had my own share of frustrations and have formulated my own successful strategies along the way.
• As a teacher I developed and distributed educational mathematical resources to enable classroom teachers to address the needs 
of their gifted students. I developed evaluation and assessment techniques for the ‘gifted child’ that was used as a model across multiple school regions. I developed an ‘individualised maths programme’ in my kindergarten classroom and shared my expertise with teaching colleagues by having “open classrooms” every week for a year. This equipped them to better accommodate the educational needs of their own gifted students. One class I taught achieved the best results in literacy level improvement across the state. As a result, my teaching techniques were videoed and used as a documentary to educate other classroom teachers. I have initiated or lead gifted and talented programs in every school, in every system, in every country I have taught in.
